Club 27
The 27 club is an unofficial group commonly spoken about in pop culture, whose membership consists of extremely famous musicians who all “coincidentally” died at age 27. I created a set of collectible trading cards that highlights each member of the infamous “club.” To give the cards authenticity, I created original illustrations for each and wrote copy describing each artist’s significance.
The Fronts
The front of each card lists the number member they are in the club, in terms of their death chronologically in relation to the other members’ deaths.
The Backs
The back of each card details the time, date, and location of the specific death. Additionally, each back briefly describes the scene of each death and how it occurred, with a quote from the artist.
